BLOG 4.4: About My CATW Exam...

Today, when i came to the class, I got confused that Thursday exam is the final exam for only the ENG099 class or the real CATW exam in order to get out of this class. So I got nervous at first. Then when Prof. explained about the exam, I realized that that will be the final CATW. He let us know about the important things such as must respond to reading's ideas, must have a claim and so on. To be honest, I feel a little bit afraid not to pass the exam. But I myself also know I need to change that attitude. So, I made up my mind that I am going to pass it because I knew the rule of the writing and I did well all of the CATW test that Prof. gave us. So I am going to try my best on coming Thursday in order to pass CATW that is one of the obstacles to move on to enter into the college program.

BLOG 4.2: CAT # 6: Is Google Making Us Stupid?

         
   I believe that nowadays, Google makes people distracted in doing their work because people can get any information very easily and quickly. The more people use the Google, the less they are intellectual and use their brains.
            In the article named “ The Shallows: What the Internet Is Doing to Our Brains” written by Nicholas Carr, the main idea of that passage is that using Google all the time causes the people to be distracted in addition to lack of being calm and concentration on what they are doing or thinking deeply. The author mentions that it wouldn’t call people are smart if they search many information quickly, but it would call they are if they think very deeply about that information. The author also states that if people are always texting, surfing and Googling, they’ll never have a deep think. Then what else is said in the passage is that Google is providing people all precious information, on the other hand, it makes them think superficially.
            It is absolutely true that Google makes me distracted in doing my schoolwork. For example, in my country, although I could not be able to use the net very easily, I used to research what I want to know by using my brain and find out what I want to learn difficultly. As a result, I did everything very well especially my schoolwork because I put all my concentration on only the thing that I focused on. I myself knew that it’s my real abilities and everything I did was valuable. Doing one thing eagerly is better than doing multi-taking at the time. When I came to the State, researching and finding out information in a school are very easy for me because all information are put in the net as well as we can Google that information in an easy way. But I develop my mind less than before and I feel myself I am always distracted. Every time when I sat in front of the computer for study, I always did surfing and Googling instead of doing my schoolwork. It doesn’t work at all if we do the schoolwork and the Googling at the same time.
            Nowadays, people regard themself as if they know most of the thing. In fact, they are not aware that they entirely rely on the Google. In work, they find most of the information from Google if a boss asks them to do. In school, not only do students always find articles for their essays, but they also copy them without thinking deeply. Eventually, people forget to use their brain intelluctually and wisely. Without Google, we cannot imagine our life is going to be. Google seems to be a very important part of a human's life. Why does it happen like that?
Because human is a kind of creature that are lazy sometimes and follow an easy way instead of thinking or doing difficultly, our brains are no longer smarter or sharper than it used to be.

Practice CAT # 5

          I believe that nowadays, the technologies such as the internet, cell phones and so on run in many good ways for children because it is really obvious that they can save their precious time, improve faster than others, make them easy for doing duties, use as learning tools and be globalized.
          In this article in "Rewired: Understanding the iGeneration and the Way They Learn" written by Larry Rosen, Ph.D., the main idea of the author is that using technology effectively on the children schoolwork and understanding and giving some guidelines for their health help them improve. The author also states that children spend a day by joining friends by social networks, text messaging and so on. Moreover, parents should not refuse children to use the technologies that make them grow and improve.
          I would say technologies play in many different roles in this age especially for the iGeneration. Basically, a child who lives in a country that has lots of high-tech cannot know the differences very well. So, some children don't know how to value the high-tech. My country, Burma, is a developing country without good internet, subway, cheap cell phone. Even not only couldn't computer students use the internet at colleges but also none of the computer was good to use. For example, professors in colleges teach the basic Microsoft office such as Microsoft Word or Excel and so on without using computers. Then it is very ridiculous that students have to take those exam by hand-writing on exam papers. Moreover, there is no social life or networks for children in the internet. They always find lots of difficulties to learn what they want or read because of lacking technologies. Their improvement is literally slower than others' in developed countries.
          Compared with that country, children in developed countries have a lot of chance to use technology as much as they can in order to improve more. Using technologies effectively, children can save their time, my first reason and spend the time that they save doing other stuffs as well. For instance, if a child need to do three things in one day including go shopping, making inquiry about one category and studying, he would save a lot of time by using the internet or the phone to order some food and to find out what he wants to know. So, he could do three things in one day for the reason of technologies. On the other hand, he could be faster than others who couldn't use the internet and the phone.
           Then, children use the internet as learning tools to make their school work more efficiently. For example, they can research the articles what they want, present their power-point presentation with a projector and learn other language pronunciations on online. In addition, nowadays, children can aware of everything around the world to get more knowledge by using the internet.
           Eventually, children can do their social life with high-tech such as they can keep in touch with their friends, relatives who live far away from their house. It is required in a part of their life as a social issue. When they are always busy with their schoolwork and studying and don't have time to go out with some friends, social networking is one of the medicines that can release some of their loneliness and study stress.          
           No doubt technologies are very important in children's lives due to above reasons. I would agree with the author saying that there are side effects of using technologies ineffectively such as causing health problems. But it would be more efficient if children use technologies in good ways and parents understand them and give some advices that how to take care of their health successfully.

Moreover, our family farms are very important because not only they can supply healthy, fresh, nutritious, high-quality foods but also they play a vital role in rural economies. family farmers also help support tiny businesses by buying stuffs and services within their communities.         The main idea of this film is about the negative things of dairy factories. Baiscally, the workplaces are very dangerous for workers who are paid low income but work in a very unsafty place. It also mentioned that a factory can produce five thousand cows per day and all fast food nation use those meat. Morever, it states that meat packing is the most dangerous job in the nation. To get more profit, workers are forced to work very fast without safty. Then, there are manures in the meat and e coli, a kind of bacteria in the lower intestine.

Summary Paragraph 2: The Meatrix: Revolting

The thesis of this film is the comparing of wonderful family farm and recent awful factory farm. In the past, animals are very delighted and healthy by eating natural grass in big fields, baby calves are always with mommy cows and people got their milk by using the human’s hands. Nowadays, everything is replaced by machines. Some animals are spent their entire life in a factory farm in which not only they cannot see the light but also they are placed in a specific place; can’t move or go around. Although they are feed antibiotic, they cannot be healthy because of their terrible living conditions. Business people who know only about their profit make the products as much as they can by using RBGH, an artificial growth hormone. In addition, they also saw the mad cow disease known as bovine spongiform encepholopathy (BSE).

Summary Paragraph 1: The Meatrix

I agree the meatrix is a very educated film. The main idea of the meatrix is about a pig named Leo that doesn’t know about the reality of his life. He has his normal life in a family farm and he maybe think that is very fantastic. Every day he spends his time eating and relaxing. Meal is always ready for him. Moopheus, who knows a lot about him, comes and try to explain him about meatrix. The question is where animal products come from and where the meat is. After he took the read pill, Moopheus was going to show him how the truth. He explained more about the animal cruelty, antibiotic resistant germs, massive pollution and destroyed communities. Moreover, he mentioned that their group is going to stop the world from such things in order to escape from the meatrix.

Practice CAT #3: The Net Is the Real World

According to the article, the main idea is about a guy who committed suicide because of being invaded his privacy. Basically, 18-year-old Tyler Clementi  jumped from the top of the George Washington Bridge into the Hudson River due to the two Rutgers University students’ invasion of privacy charges with webcam. Without someone’s approval, it would commit a crime in New Jersey if somebody shares or looks at sex acts of someone. One of the co-director said that event happened not because of technology but inhumanity. People are used to doing or saying something in cyberspace that is far from the real world but nowadays, the internet seems like reality not only in several places but also for the rest of the world. But cyber bullying can affect the inner mind that can feel worse than outer wounds as cyber attack can get a big audience and it can forever haunt the victim. Clementi’s death is one of many current instants of young bullying people leading to that kind of end.

As my opinion, I strongly disagree that the internet is reality because how we can say it is real without seeing in the face-to-face or without talking with each other ordinarily. If people don’t have eye contacts cannot judge their faces, how can we know whether they are saying the truth or not? The fact that people do everything on online or chat with their friends seems like reality but actually it is one of the artifacts. So some people misuse the internet in order to do cyber bullying such as plain being mean, defamation and so on that is not good for anybody. Some people use the net as a kind of obstacle such as if they lie or they do or curse somebody bad things, the other side can do nothing. Thus maybe some people are very fond of communicating each other in the net. I experienced an unforgettable event in my life. When I started using the net when I was young, there was someone who I got to know in the net. Every time I used the net, he was there so we accidently spent a lot time having a small talk. He told me about everything of him including his age, his hobbies and so on. Later on, I got to know that he laid a lot of his biography. When I dated him outside to make sure everything I know, he always refused to come and never showed up. Eventually, I took lesson on it and got to understand that the net would never be reality at all. It is true that the net is one of the artifacts in our world.

                  The most interesting idea in this article is being a team with human and machine smarts. First of all, a couple of amateurs used run-of-the-mill PCs and inexpensive apps in order to get the overall winner in online tournament. Next, the most wonderful entities on the earth are average-brained people who are literally good at combining their abilities with machines’.

                I believe that humans are smarter than machines because humans made every machine. Without human, there isn’t going to have machines. According to some games such as chess, it is true that humans are won by machines. Humans have endless developing brains that can think without limiting. But machine smarts are limited. As long as they don’t have updated programs or new software, they will be gone one day. Humans invented lots of machines in order to save their time and energy. On the other hand, they make them easy for doing a lot of stuffs such as people can surf in the internet and don’t need to spend the whole day to gather information what they want. Therefore, we can’t say machines are smarter than humans because people can control every step of machine that they invented.  In the same way, IBM’s supercomputer would win people at chess only few times but not forever. Everything machines aware in their memory is put in their brains by human. It’s far from comparing with human brains and doesn’t make sense at all. In fact, machines are such helping devices for people to make them easy, convenient and saving time or energy.

A Coppertop's Life Artifacts # 3 MAGIC

 

           As people are mankind who are very curious about interesting things, no wonder magic is popular all over the world. People are fond of being deceived by magic beautiful tricks. They willingly spend a lot of money to watch the created impossible, supernatural things in many kind of places such as on the stage or platform. Actually, magic is a kind of illusion that doesn't exist. For example, magicians deceive audiences in many different ways like a rabbit from an empty hat, vanishing even status of liberty, transforming a lady to a tiger, a woman swan in half, crossing the Great Wall from its wall and so on. None of them is real and many magical routines use combination of effects. It is just a performing art that entertains audiences by creating interesting illusions. Magic is so secretive and keeping the secrets preserves the mystery of professional magicians. To be a member of professional magicians' organizations, they require a commitment to the Magician's Oath that may vary in which a member never reveals the secrets of magic to non-magicians. As long as magic is secretive, people will be still interested in it that is one of the artifacts. 

A Coppertop's Life Artifacts # 2 BOLT

                  This is one of the famous Walt Disney animation movies that talked about the actor dog named "Bolt". Bolt is the special dog who is trained for the films not knowing that he is trained. He grew up in the particular world called Hollywood in which you can see everything that exists all over the world but reality. Indeed, Poor Bolt doesn't know what his real life is and thinks all his energy and power are existent. He grew up in a kind of studio called his home. Everyday he lives and everything he does are not for his own life. He communicates with people from movies and he has his enemies that are not real enemies. To receive a more realistic performance, the TV show's producers have deceived Bolt his entire life, arranging the filming in such a way that Bolt believes the television show is real and he really has superpowers. He fails to break through a window, knocking himself unconscious all the way he finds his beloved girl "Penny" when he mistakenly believes Penny has been kidnapped by the villain. Later on, he starts to notice that his superpower is not working. Finally, Bolt realizes he is a normal dog and on the way home, he learns to enjoy typical dog activities. He is told his Hollywood life is fake and there is no real love for him there. He refuses to believe that Penny doesn't love him. Lastly, he arrives and reunites with her and enjoy their new life together. This film is really fantastic and we can compare it with the Truman Show. Those present the false reality in our life.

A Coppertop's Life Artifacts # 1 INTERNET

              Nowadays, people are communicating with each other by internet. They fall in love with unseen people on online. Some of them take the whole day to chat or talk to a person who they've never seen in outside. It is true that they can see, listen to each other on online but actually, that's not the real thing. For example, I did feel interested in a person from internet who I've never seen him outside. As long as we chatted and talked, he said he was interested in and liked me. He told me everything about him. And I admitted that I slightly believed in him. One the other hand, I didn't totally believe in him because I've never seen him outside. We chatted at least five hours a day and sometimes, we talked on the phone. Later on, I got to know that one thing he said was not true. He lied his age. It was hard to predict his age if I didn't see his face in outside. I knew only one thing what he lied but I hadn't known the any other things that weren't true. That has been the one I encountered and I believe there must have many events like my case. Some are worse than me. For instant, one of my friends got to know the one from a foreign country from internet. They fell in love and tried to meet outside each other. Then when they literally met outside, they were still font of each other and arranged to marry at the same time. After that, the guy went back to his country a few months later after their wedding ceremony. He said he would go first and call my friend later when he settled down. But he never showed up nor called my friend for years. Later on, my friend got to know that he married another woman in his country. I would say it was very ridiculous. I really didn't know who was right or wrong in the case but finally, people might as well blame on my friend who dared to believe in the one from the internet that is far from the real things. As we don't know the one's real background, biography and history, we shouldn't easily believe in him or her. We should be aware of some people are incorrectly using the internet, a kind of artifacts in order to take the advantages on it.

Blog Entry 2.1: My Archetype (Innocent)

             My positive archetype is the innocent that is a queen of optimism, faith, trust and simple. Everybody begins his/her journey as innocent as a child. We are trustworthy and morally good meaning that we are never jealous of the people and cruel or cunning as a fox. We have both good things and bad things of our archetype. We ourselves have desire of purity, goodness and simplicity and willingly to do other's issues as possible as we can. No wonder we trust other very easily so sometimes, we are used and people misuse our characters in bad ways. 

            One of my favorite movies is Forrest Gump, a kind of amazing philosophic movie I've ever watched. Gump, who is a childishly naive idiot and born with a low IQ, leads a very successful life with his innocent archetype. From one view, it involves that intelligence is a very unnecessary feature. He is such a stupid, innocent, simple man with his maniac enthusiasm on doing something such as playing table-tennis who finally becomes a millionaire that everybody wants to be. Having his stupid style and doing his own way without any jealousy of other people lead a very charmed life. Some of his saying I am fond of in the movie are "Life is like a box of chocolates; you never know what you're going to get." and "Stupid is as stupid does." No matter how stupid he is, I keep him as my favorite innocent character in my mind forever.

            I would say Julia Roberts, who is the professional actress I like most, has her adorable and fresh innocent smile that leads her to get one of the most beautiful women in the world. She is smart in performing in her movies naturally such as Monalisa's Smile and Pretty Woman that are the great movies ever. As simplicity is the best and forever, she is always be an ideal person to prove it. Her eyes are full with passion, kind and hope and her smile encourages and cheers on others. No doubt she is a perfect actress with innocent archetype.

            The reason why I like this song "Everything I do, I do it for you" is because it's one of the lyrics mentioned about his pure romantic love, about him whom is not afraid to scarify his life for his love. Whenever I listen to this music, there is a feeling in my mind. And it will be everlasting innocent songs in my life.

TRUMAN SYNDROME DIAGNOSED (EXAM)

                        I am wondering how people feel they are not in the real world when they know about it. Moreover, if I were one of them, how I want my life to be.

                        First of all, I believe that there are many ways to control a person from particular places. Nowadays, because of high-tech, someone can be watched from a small space of the world wherever he goes and whatever he does. There are many invisible web-cans, satellite radiations all over the world. So on the other hand, we would tell that we all are trapped in a big planet (earth). That is similar to the story of the Truman show.

                        Next, someone can find easily people’s biography, background, daily routine and current issues in such computer age. Especially, celebrities, they are totally trapped in a small area surrounding by many kind of media, paparazzi and so on. Whatever they do, they are broadcasted on magazines, TV show and journals. Therefore, some people get big stress and committed suicide in different ways in order to escape from those stressful life. They don’t think they have a reality and freedom.

                        Then, I have my own experience that I felt more relaxable and immoral in my country before I come to the states knowing that I got full freedom and felt all the real thing of my life. My life was very meaningful there, of course. Nobody could track me because of being a developing country without any high-tech. I’d never got depressed and felt that I was not in a real world. So mentally, I used to have a good condition of my health. I believe that living-style is the most important for each person. Feeling that I am not in a real world is depend on the particular country’s culture and mental health. After I arrived to the states, my life-style was entirely changed because of the environment. All of my information is in record whatever I do. I feel that I was controlled everything of my life. In addition, people from surrounding are similar to actors or actresses. For example, they do their own business communicating with everybody for their business only, not for their willingness. Everything is scheduled by deadlines. So I got a lot of stress and pressure mentally and physically. There is no real relaxation and pure communication among people. I have to do the same routine daily. Sometimes, I do feel my life is ridiculous here and I feel like I am always trapped in the faked world.

                        In conclusion, because of the above examples, as some people feel that all what they do are not a reality in this world. I feel the same way starting from the first day of my arrival in the states. If possible, I really want my life to have entire freedom not watching by anybody.  

Blog Entry 1.4: The Truman Show (Reality, TV, and Reality TV )

After finishing watching the Truman Show movie, I can’t stop thinking about it. Suddenly there are many questions I still got confused appeared in my mind. How could I feel if I knew my life was trapped in Seaheaven being watched everything of my natural life and shown the whole world?

I would say he must be a prisoner in Seaheaven (the cave). He doesn't know everybody is pretending and watching him. He thinks all are real not knowing that everything is placed for him in a particular world that is not real. Those are shadows that are very similar with the real things created by Christof who means to monetary gain. Turman's life is really pitiful and if he escaped from the exit of the Seaheave, he would be the one who would never come back to Seaheaven (the cave).

He is the one who leads his life in general. He has the everyday routine and mostly does the same things. After he found some quests of his life, he started sailing in the sea although there are the special efforts of Christof and the network. But he doesn’t know where to go, what to find and what to get at the beginning. He has no answer of his quests but keeps sailing. Later on, he found the exit of Seahaven knowing that he understood the truth of his reality. That is Truman's journey in Seaheaven. Christof is absolutely an unreasonable person. He said he gave Truman the chance to lead a normal life in order to prevent himself. Everybody human should have their own life, true freedom and true privacy. That’s the human rights. But all what he did destroyed Truman’s life, freedom and privacy. I would say he is not humanity. He didn’t get Truman’s permission to do so. Truman was shown his natural life in TV not knowing that that is showing. That’s a big lie. If somebody made him like Truman, do you think he would also like it? He is an unsympathetic and selfish person.

Blog Entry 1.3: My place in the Cave

                                 According to Socrates' description of the cave, everybody can consider in various views in which I have been asked some questions about my life. How I can know what stage I am, I am still chained looking around in amazement at the shadows that are created for us, and I am walking out into the light and trying to help people get free. I am sure that I am completely walking out into the light, knowing that I am neither chained nor looked at the shadows. But I am not trying to help anyone free from the cave yet.

                                That is deadly true that I am not chained anymore because I am entirely sure that I had been chained when I was in my country where I read about U.S, learned about U.S English and culture from American teachers, and heard about them from my sister as well who has been living in the States for eight years. So, the more I heard and learned about the States, the more I thought I knew about it very well, not knowing that I knew nothing about the reality but the imagination built in the individual's spirit. I had some friends whom I argued with as if I were the only one who knew it the best. In fact, I didn’t know that every poet would write about his/her articles in different views or in general. For example, a poet or a writer who loved New York would say beautiful words and write about the special things of New York. They would not mention about the bad things because they were fond of it, and admired it. Likewise, they only perform and show good scenes, famous buildings, fantastic nightlife and awesome places in the Hollywood movies, which have a strong influence on the people all over the world, to get their impression. Therefore, everything I knew was only the imagination (shadow) influenced by all kinds of physical and mental objects when my life was in the country where was inside the cave.

                                After I released from the cave, my country, I unexpectedly got to know about the States that was totally different from all that I read, heard and watched. I have been completely walking out into the light since I arrived in the States. To begin with I felt culture shock and had to relearn about everything measuring by knowledge that I got from my country. Then the most hardest thing I'd ever got was to try to get accustomed to the culture and the living style. They are very different from my country like oil and water. For instance, on account of being Buddhist, we give everybody forgiveness that is one of the Buddha's saying. We hardly ever talk back regardless of being sorry or angry not meaning that we are afraid of them. On the contrary, they really don't know about our religion and won't think as we act. Eventually, I myself might as well change minority to get along with everybody and cope with everything here as there is a saying "when in Rome, do as the Romans do" in the real world, where I released from the cave.
                                Although I haven't tried to help people free from the cave, I have a plan to do so after I take a trip to my country in the circumstances. I will willingly tell about my experience and the reality to the people who really want to know or who misunderstand about it. They might feel as I did before and full of their imagination that is not real. But I will try my best to explain as much as I can knowing that they can't fully know about the reality of everything until they experience it.

Blog Entry 1.2 My Heroic Day

                          I, hero used to have a simple daily routine till I was in my high school. Basically, since I was my mother's great expectation to get lots of fabulous grades in the final exam, she took care of me very well and always try to get ready for food such as milk, egg and beef that she thought those made me strong and energetic but made me bigger day by day as well. She forced me to eat those stuffs during my studying time even though I didn't want to eat. Obviously, when I was graduated my high school, I became a huge girl who was very much over-weighted.

                         My body changed a lot within a year unbelievably and I myself neither noticed nor cared about it. Of course everybody including my relatives didn't recognize me when they first saw after my school. Then, when they knew about my events, they looked down on me without any reason and called me as "fatty". They always mentioned as if I was totally useless because of being fat and I should be shy on it . At first, I felt very sad and became lack of self-confident. I was afraid to go to the public area and afraid of being laughing at me. One day, when I saw my elder brother who was giving my sister some beautiful dresses as a present after he came back from his foreign trip, he said there was no my size all over the world so that he didn't buy any dress for me. As soon as I heard, I ran away and cried sadly. Later on, I strongly decided to lose my weight after raising some questions as to why people judged one's appearances terribly that was not concerned with someone's real ability, why the physical appearances were very important to get someone's impression and what would happen if I were slim one day. It became the call to adventure of my diet journey.

                         None of my family encouraged me to lose my weight. I myself didn't know how to lose weight at the beginning but I thought it would work if I had changed all of my accustomed routine and appetizers. I avoided eating not only breakfast and dinner but also meat that had lots of cholesterol such as shrimp and port. I also avoided taking a nap in the afternoon. All what I ate were only vegetables, fish and fruits. In the first week, I found very difficult to do so; I felt hungry most of the time and missed my favorite food. On the other hand, my mother cooked delicious dishes that I liked in purpose everyday in order to make me eat. I passed hard time with no great meal as if I were a poor person. That must be the crossing of the first threshold of my journey of my diet.

                        I attempted to lose weight several times during my diet. I stopped eating much and avoided every fast food at the beginning but I couldn't tolerate it after a couple of weeks. Then I gained more weight again and again. I felt overwhelmed and depressed on the thing what I could not able to do. I had lack of confidence and there had a question I asked myself what I should do if I could not make it done. I usually wanted to refuse the challenge or journey of my diet because I was scared not to make it. I didn't see any progress of my diet from the time I had the way of thinking. That was my refusal of the call of my diet journey.

                        With the help of my enthusiasm, I encouraged myself every second to have more confidence as to why I cannot make that easy thing, I did have to believe I could do that, and I must do. Afterward, knowing that I loosed some weight by measuring my body everyday was only the energy to go back to get my desire. Nobody believed I could do that and everybody was laughing at me on that time. It could be the road of trails in the journey of my diet.

                        Eventually, it was true that I loosed 20lb in a month and 40lb in two months. I looked totally changed to happen that everybody could not recognize me at all. I felt very pleased that I could do what I wanted. Some people looked being jealous of me and some people wanted to know the way I loosed weight. They were very curious about how I did. Some people who had laughed at me in one time felt embarrassed by themselves and dared not to speak out anything anymore. Then all the ways they communicated with me were absolutely changed.

                        I did realized that everybody could be someone what he wanted to be if there was an enthusiasm in one's mind. If someone has a big dream, he must be crazy about it and live or survive for them in every second. Then he is sure to get what he wants one day. In addition, as everybody can do everything, if someone looks down or criticize somebody's appearance very easily, it means not only he shows his level of wisdom and education but also he must feel embarrassed what he did one day. Those were my rewards of my diet journey.

                        I found my life was totally different from before I loosed weight. When I came back to the ordinary world of my life, I had no fear at all and was full of confidence. I got some respect from people that was nothing concerned with my wisdom, education and value. But I got to know their attitudes before and after on me. Every time I told about my own way to help people to loose weight, at the same time, I told them my reward of the thinking gotten from the journey.

Blog Entry 1.1: Computer Age

      The most important thing in the role of technology in my life is the computer. I spend most of my time using computer such as working with computer, studying and learning with it everyday. I would say I am totally dependent on the computer and can't live without it. It is the major requirement in my life.

       First of all, I have to keep in touch with my parents, relatives and friends in other countries who are very important in my life in order to pass my regard or recover my lonely time. So, I need to use the internet with the computer to be cheap instead of giving a call. This is the first reason why the computer is important to me.

       Second, not only I can study my lessons or do online study but also read many magazines; ebooks and other knowledgeable books with the computer. Moreover, I can go shopping and buy whatever I want without going there on my own. It saves either money or time.

       Third, there are a lot of entertainments in the computer. I can watch the video, play the online games and listen to the radio or music in order to release some of my stress after work. I am sure that it's a great thing to have a computer wherever I go.Then I can learn or update new things every second.

       Another reason, the computers are the most essential things in my work. I have to work with the computer all the time. The computers help me to keep important document and information more easier than paperwork. Moreover, I also have to sell, buy and communicate with our customers with the computers most of the time. Without the computers, I can't deal with all the office stuffs. Therefore, I have to be dependent on the computer in a good way.

      In conclusion, because of the computers, I save my time, money and energy more. I don't need to go outside to find out the information or easy things. Nowadays, I am sure that everybody needs to be dependent on the computer in different ways as like me because of computer age.
